What are Drafts?
Drafts enable you to start a check in, come back to it later, and check out when you need to. Just like an email draft, you can save your work, and when your ready to finalize it, simply go back in, edit it, and submit it!
Saving Your Work
In addition you saving items as drafts, Outfield also saves your work every 10 seconds. This is to protect you from frustration should your phone die, lose signal, catch fire etc. This all happens in the background so you can focus on the task at hand: Interacting with your customers.
When Would a Draft Come in Handy?
Let's say you start a check-in, turn your phone off, and then come back to it an hour later. Is your check-in still running? Of course it is! It may pop up immediately but if it doesn't, go to your "My Dashboard" and tap the red bar reading "Show Drafts". Tap your draft and then tap "Edit" in the upper right. You're now back into your draft where you can write new information, take pics, answer forms or check-out!
Troubleshooting a Draft Problem
If you start seeing a large number of drafts building up, it means your work isn't syncing with the Web Server and your colleagues cannot see your activity! To resolve this, make sure you're connected to either WiFi or good cell signal and re-submit your items. If you still have issues, reach out to us at support@outfieldapp.com
