First Things First | Create or log in to your Zapier Account
- Navigate to Zapier’s website
- Click the blue Sign Up button and complete their sign up process
- If you already have a Zapier account, simply log in with your Zapier credentials
Creating your first Zap
- Click the “Make a Zap” button in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Select the app you want to use for your trigger.
- If you want Outfield to trigger an action in another app, use the search bar to find Outfield.
- If you want another app to trigger an action in Outfield, use the search bar to find the app to use as a trigger.
- Next, choose a trigger event, then click Continue.
- If you are using Outfield to trigger your Zap, you’ll be asked to connect your Outfield account to Zapier. Once you’ve connected your account, click Continue.
- If you've never connected your Zapier account to the selected app, you'll be prompted to connect your app account. Then, click Continue.
- Once connected, you'll be prompted to set up your trigger.
- If you’re using Outfield as the trigger, you’ll be asked to define the trigger. Sometimes this step is optional depending on the type of trigger you are setting up.
- Next, test the trigger to make sure Zapier is pulling the correct information from the trigger app. Click Continue after the test completes, Zapier will automatically send you to the next step: Creating an Action.
Setting up the Action...
- Select the app in which an action will occur when the Zap is triggered.
- If you want Outfield to trigger an action in another app, find the app using the search bar.
- If you want another app to trigger an action in Outfield, search for and choose Outfield.
- If you want Zapier to reformat, filter, or delay the incoming trigger, select the appropriate action on the right side of the screen.
- Select an action event, then click Continue.
- If you are using Outfield as the Action, you’ll be asked to connect your Outfield account to Zapier. Once you’ve connected your account, click Continue.
- If you've never connected your Zapier account to the selected app, you'll be prompted to connect your app account. Then, click Continue.
- Once connected, you'll be prompted to set up your action. Customize the action as needed, then click Continue.
- Next, you'll be able to test your Zap if needed.
- To complete the setup of your Zap, click Finish.
- Next, give your Zap a name.
- When you're ready to start triggering new actions with this Zap, click to toggle the Your Zap is ___ switch on and take your Zap live.
